Moshe Carr was born and raised in San Diego, California. After graduating from San Francisco State University, he decided he needed to spend a year learning more about Judaism in Israel. He recognized that a year only showed him the tip of the iceberg and decided to extend his stay… after 3 years, he met his wife and started a family in Israel. Looking for a way to combine his love for people with his passion for Judaism, his family moved to Calgary, Canada to lead their NCSY chapter, as well as teach in the local Jewish day-school. After four wonderful years in Calgary, Moshe sought out a position that would allow him to be involved in NCSY on a larger scale. In August 2022, Moshe jumped on the opportunity to be the Portland NCSY Director.
